Monitoring, Supervision, and Academic Integrity

ExamGiant is designed to be a safe place for students to practice, compete, and learn. Because many of our users are children, and because we run timed competitions with real prizes, some level of monitoring and record-keeping is necessary.

What ExamGiant Monitors

When a student, parent, teacher, or school uses ExamGiant, we may record things like:

• Account details (name, email, role, school or district, country/region)
• Game and competition activity (scores, accuracy, time used, level, subject)
• Login activity (dates/times, rough location based on IP, device/browser type)
• Technical events (errors, crashes, unusual patterns that help us debug problems)

At this time, ExamGiant does not offer public chat, forums, or student-to-student messaging tools. If we add those in the future, this page and our Privacy Policy will be updated to explain how those features are monitored and moderated.

Why We Monitor

We use monitoring and logs for several important reasons:

• Student safety – to detect abuse, cheating rings, or misuse of the platform.
• Fair competitions – to investigate suspicious scores or automated play.
• Educational insight – to help teachers and parents understand a student’s progress.
• Reliability – to diagnose technical issues and improve overall performance.

Who Can See This Information

Access to monitoring data is limited:

• ExamGiant staff and contractors who operate the platform.
• Teachers and school administrators, only for students who are linked to their class, school, district, or homeschool.
• Parents/guardians, when accounts are set up for their children or when students use a home account under a parent’s email.

We do not sell personal information. We may use trusted service providers (for example, authentication, databases, email, SMS, or analytics) who are contractually required to protect your data and use it only on our behalf.

School-Managed Devices and Third-Party Monitoring Tools

Many schools use separate classroom monitoring software (for example, tools that allow a teacher to view student screens in a lab or on school-issued laptops). These tools are chosen and managed by the school or district, not by ExamGiant.

If a school uses such tools, a student’s activity on ExamGiant may also be visible to the teacher or school IT staff through their own software. Questions about those tools should be directed to the school or district, not to ExamGiant.

Parent, Student, and Teacher Responsibilities

• Parents and guardians are encouraged to supervise younger children while they are online.
• Teachers should follow their school or district’s policies for monitoring and technology use.
• Students should never share their passwords and should report any suspicious behavior to a trusted adult.
